Bath Company Offers Patented Clean-Up Technology

By Katina Caraganis - Spectator StaffWriter - MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc. is a “Green Environmental” company that went public (symbol MOPN) at the end of 2007 to promote their oil recovery system designed around their patented product, MOP® Maximum Oil Pick-Up.

According to company president and CEO Charles Diamond, “Our patented MOP® Technology has created a profit incentive to clean up hazardous oil spills safely and efficiently while recovering spilled oil for reuse.  This adds the missing financial link for restoration of a clean global environment from the damage caused by oil spills worldwide.”

“MOP® is biodegradable and non-toxic. The product picks up, controls and remediates all types of oil spills, whether on land or on water.  The absorbent material picks up to 30 times its own weight in oil, without absorbing water.  Our MOP® Technology and associated equipment removes up to 99 percent of the oil from an oil spill.”

“Usually this line of work is an expense,” Diamond said. “Prior to MOP® that expense has interfered with effective oil spill recovery.  Our MOP® Technology is important because it adds the financial incentive that’s been lacking, for effective global oil-spill recovery.”   “The next big project the company is looking to embark on,” according to Diamond, “is to begin oil recovery and reclamation operations in the Caspian Sea region while continuing to build significant domestic sales throughout the United States and Canada.”

“We are an example of a Green Environmental Company in its finest sense.” said Diamond.  “We conserve our country’s precious fossil fuels by using water power to make MOP®.  We obtain our raw materials by creating a recycling path for by-products of industry formerly destined for the landfills.  We then convert those materials into MOP®, while relieving the load on landfills,.  Our MOP®, in turn cleans up oil spills on land and water, indoors, outdoors, and under all weather conditions, while recovering the spilled oil at a profit.  With the profits, a portion will then fund other beneficial environmental projects both locally and abroad.”

The company has other products associated with oil clean-up, including the MOP®-CANNON that deploys MOP® at 150 MPH to rapidly neutralize all the harmful effects of an oil spill.  According to Diamond “10 MOP®-CANNONS could neutralize all the harmful effects of an EXXON Valdez size oil spill in less than 24 hours.”  “The MOP®-CAT, Cleanup Aquatic Tool is designed to recover over 1,000 barrels a day of pipeline quality oil from oil laden waterways.  With oil now above $100 a barrel and revenues anticipated above $100,000 a day per machine, one MOP®-CAT would pay for itself in just one day of operation.

Other equipment includes the MOP®-PET, Petroleum Extraction Tool, and the MOP®-RAM, Residue Attrition Machine.  Together they remove and recover 95% of the oil from oil saturated MOP® and convert the used MOP® into pellet fuel.

“The bottom line is that everything that we use to pick up an oil spill is recovered,” he emphasized.”  Also, we separate everything so you’ve got clean earth, clean water, clean oil, and the MOP® itself becomes pellet fuel.  Nothing is wasted or left over leaving an absolutely clean environment,” Diamond points out.

“What we want to do with a portion of the revenues that come in from operations is to fund projects that are environmentally oriented that might otherwise have difficulty getting funded,”  Diamond said. “We want to be known as the do-good company and to divert revenue above a certain benchmark into other projects.”

According to Diamond, “When fully funded and operational MOP Environmental Solutions, Inc., will create 100 to 200 new jobs in the area.”

Company President and CEO Charles Diamond offers his sincerest gratitude to the many local people who have come forward with their well wishes and encouragement for his environmental initiative.
